Kindergarten and 1st grade students are now required by law to participate in monthly terrorism drills, including active shooter, bomb threat and evacuation drills.
I find out that my grand daughter has been shuttled off to another location I AM DONE! They require a permission slip to go on a field trip. Well I do not authorize this trip. This is KIDNAPPING and I will file charges to push this. all while removing her from public schools and homeschooling her with CONSTITUTIONAL based classes wrapped in deep studies of EACH religion. SCREW THE DHS!! They are the TERRORIST!

Wait, you all new to society? I grew up in the 50s and 60s and we had ‘weekly’ nuclear attack drills getting under the desks, etc. Drills and being prepared are not new. We moved to California and they had weekly earthquake drills which may have saved our lives during the Santa Cruz earthquake because I did have a clue what to do when it all started shaking but my 2nd grade son quietly explained what we should do and when.. We now live in a world armed by the NRA and periodically have armed nuts entering our schools to kill our children. In Alaska I worked for a school district in the early 80s who used the phrase ‘The candyman is here’ as a warning to lock doors, cover windows and hide the kids that a but with a gun was in the school.
They did that because in the early 80s nuts with guns did appear in schools in Juneau Alaska, lately they still appear but the weapons have improved and it is definitely country-wide.
I think not having a plan and being prepared in the 21st century is actually malfeasance. If you are going to advocate arming everyone you should at least teach the kids how to duck.

Oh Thom yes we had the drills too. But they NEVER SHIPPED us off to undisclosed locations. This is how they will confiscate firearms etc. Want to picjk up your kids… Fine bring your child’s shot records and your firearms. And the nice man over there will be glad to issue you your Tea Party internment clothes.

I think it is the word ‘shipped’ you so love. No one was ‘shipped’ anywhere. You are using ‘shipped’ because it references the Jewish Gas chambers and slave trade across the Atlantic, but using it to mislead in this instance is an insult to the Jews who truly were shipped and the Africans who are your neighbors and definitely were shipped to the US.

I have no idea if you even understand what you unpack when you use a word like ‘shipped?’ It was like when Bush announced a ‘crusade’ and had to immediately back off because the metaphoric meaning was front and center in the Middle East for obvious reasons and Bush didn’t have a clue what he was really saying.
You still can not show a single child who was ‘taken’ because that is part of the metaphor of the ‘shipped’ be it Jewish — which isn’t a race — to African Americans.

Hmm, that doesn’t seem long enough to take and ship anyone anywhere so I read further and find that one of the exercises they have to practice is:
Sheltering-in-place: Sheltering-in-place is similar to a lockdown in that the occupants are to remain on the premises; however, occupants may be moved to another part of the building to minimize risk of exposure to a dangerous event taking place outside of the building. For example, if there is a release of a chemical cloud from a nearby plant, to evacuate the occupants may put them at greater risk then sheltering them within the building.
